<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fuel cell electric power generator in which heat reserving of a fuel cell is maintained when power supply is stopped from a system power source by supplying power to a heat reserving unit. <P>SOLUTION: At the time of regular operation, heat of a fuel cell stack is reserved by supplying the power to a heat reserving heater 2 from the system power source. When the power supply from the system power source to the heat reserving heater 2 is stopped due to the outage, the power is supplied to the heat reserving heater 2 from a battery 4b of a UPS4 as a control power source via a change mechanism 3 by manual or automatic operation.
