<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent generation of abnormal noise by detecting and absorbing vibration in the case where the vibration of the same phase which cannot be detected by a torque sensor provided on a steering shaft is inputted from left and right tie rods conventionally. <P>SOLUTION: An expansion/contraction actuator 30 for adjusting length in an axial direction is provided on the tie rods 17 connected to both left and right ends of a rack bar 15. The expansion/contraction actuator 30 is provided with a first rod 171 and a second rod 172 obtained by dividing the tie rod 17 to the two portions; and a motor 32 for varying a relationship of a relative position between both rods. The actuator 30 is controlled such that it is expanded/contracted in synchronous to the vibration state detected by a load sensor 40 provided on the left and right tie rods 17. Therefore, vibration generated on the tie rod 17 is absorbed by the expansion/contraction actuator 30 and is not transmitted to the rack bar 15 and the abnormal noise is not generated on a connection part 18 of the rack bar 15 and the tie rod 17. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT</p> |
