PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a gripping tool which can effectively relieve hand pain, and is not separated from the gripper of the bag even if the hand is removed from it during carrying. SOLUTION: In the gripping tool for the carrying bag, gripping plates 2 opposed to each other on both sides of a valley fold line 1 are formed on a pasteboard such as a corrugated cardboard, both gripping plates 2 are folded along the valley fold line 1, and the gripper of the tote bag is hanged on the folded part. Two valley fold lines 1 are made in a protruded arc shape expanding interval of the middle side, an edge face plate 3 is formed between them, and end notches 4 are made from the edge end of the pasteboard toward the edge face plate 3. Inner notches 5 are made in trifurcated shape from dead ends of the end notches 4 toward respective gripping plates 2, and pulling-out preventive pieces 6 extending from the gripping plates 2 are formed on the outside of the inner notches 5. Since the hand is abutted to the edge face plate 3 of curved surface, the load acting on the hand is dispersed, and the gripper h of the bag B is prevented from being pulled out from the inner notches 5 by the pulling-out preventive pieces 6.
