PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily remove dust from a rotary cleaning body without taking time or labor. SOLUTION: The suction port body for vacuum cleaner comprises: a suction port main body 10a in which a suction chamber 15 is provided and the suction opening 15a of the suction chamber 15 is opened on the bottom surface; the rotary cleaning body 18 disposed along the suction opening 15a; and a driving motor 21 for rotationally driving the rotary cleaning body 18. Also, the rotary cleaning body 18 is provided with: a rotary shaft 18a freely rotatably attached to the suction port main body 10a and linked with the driving motor 21; and a dust raking member (brush bristle belt 18b) attached so as to be projected in a radial direction along the rotary shaft 18a. Further, in the suction port body for the vacuum cleaner, a dust scraping lid 25 capable of scraping the dust stuck to the dust raking member (brush bristle belt 18b) when reversely rotating the rotary cleaning body 18 is provided on the upper wall (front upper case 14) of the suction chamber 15, and an operation means (switch 29 for maintenance) for reversely rotating the rotary cleaning body 18 in a direction opposite to a forward direction is provided.
