The mirror has a mirror unit surrounded by a mirror holder (9) having a transparent section (10). An illuminating device with LED arrangement is arranged on the rear side of the mirror unit. A light conductive plate (7) is arranged within the mirror unit and extends over an area of the transparent section. A reflection surface (12) is provided on the side of the transparent section, and the plate includes a recess (6) within the mirror unit. The LED arrangement is provided irradiating over the recess in the light conducting plate.
