Laser cutting apparatus comprises a nozzle (7) through which a laser beam (2) and a cutting gas can be directed onto a workpiece (10) in two dimensions and deflectors (3, 4, 5) for pivoting the laser beam about at least one axis. The nozzle opening is designed so that the laser beam can be pivoted through at least 10[deg] with respect to an axis perpendicular to the plane of the workpiece and/or the laser beam can be additionally deflected by pivoting through at least 3 mm at the workpiece.
