<p>Disclosed is an inorganic crystal powder mainly composed of a fine nitride or oxynitride which is free from coloring due to impurity inclusion and suitable for use as phosphors. The inorganic crystal powder is synthesized by heat-treating a precursor compound, which contains at least elements M, Si, Al and O (with M being one or more elements selected from Mg, Ca, Sr and Ba), if necessary an element R (with R being one or more elements selected from Mn, Ce, Pr, Nd, Eu, Tb, Dy, Er, Tm and Yb) and also if necessary an element N, in a reducing nitriding atmosphere so that the oxygen content is reduced and the nitrogen content is increased in the precursor.</p> |
