DIGITAL MULTIMEDIA BROADCASTING SERVICE SYSTEM

A wired/wireless DMB(Digital Multimedia Broadcasting) service system is provided to provide a bi-directional DMB service to mobile phone or PDA(Personal Digital Assistant) users within a corresponding radius according to the installation position of an AP(Access Point). A cable TV signal processing unit(110) transmits an analog broadcast signal to a TV of each home through an HFC(Hybrid Fiber Coax). A DMB service processing unit(120) converts the analog broadcast signal into a digital stream data file, stores it, and transmits the converted data to the HFC. A cable modem(210) receives a broadcast signal transmitted through the HFC or a DMB signal provided from a service providing system(100). A subscriber terminal(220) decodes the digital broadcast signal and outputs it to a subscriber TV. A video converter(230) switches the decoded digital broadcast signal or the analog cable broadcast signal and outputs it to the TV under the control of the subscriber terminal(220).
