A method for preventing contents handling errors in a DMB terminal is provided to disable and blink a link of a contents page by considering that a user cannot normally respond at a point that contents stored in the DMB terminal are updated, thereby preventing errors due to non-existence of the corresponding file or incomplete contents files in process of updating. A broadcasting network transmits contents for BWS(Broadcast Website Service) to a DMB(Digital Multimedia Broadcasting) terminal for storing the contents on a file system of the DMB terminal(S1,S2). A BWS service is supported to a user without requesting reverse radio. When the contents are updated by an MOT(Multimedia Object Transfer) carousel of the broadcasting network, information including a name of the corresponding file and directory path is transmitted to a BWS browser application(S3-S5). A link of a contents page is disabled and blinked while updating the corresponding file(S6).
