<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus capable of eliminating charging defects of a charger and forming images of high quality by eliminating increases in amount of O<SB>3</SB>, NOx, etc., suspended nearby the charger even when the frequency of use of the charger increases. <P>SOLUTION: The image forming apparatus is configured to generate an air flow by air suction and discharge between a photoreceptor drum 3 and the charger along the length of the charger 5. Consequently, air surrounding the charger 5 and O<SB>3</SB>, NOx, etc., generated by corona discharge can be always exhausted, so images of high quality which is free of image deterioration due to discharge unevenness can continuously be formed. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
