<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a high speed charging apparatus for a charging capacitor which is used for a discharging lamp in a high speed and also in an accurate time and quantity. <P>SOLUTION: The apparatus has a resonance circuit and a DC power source 1, having at least one coil and a charging capacitor 6. One electrode out of DC power sources is connected with the resonance circuit via a charging switch 2. A free wheel diode 4 is connected in parallel with the DC power source in the resonance circuit so that a current is conducted when the charging switch 2 is opened. The apparatus is provided with a control means 20 which, while a switching time of the charging switch 2 is calculated according to an input variable and variables of a plurality of set points and to follow a variable of a set point in real time, operates the charging switch 2 at a calculated switching time. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
