<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an imaging apparatus capable of quickly implementing photographing by detecting a defective pixel as required only. <P>SOLUTION: A temperature sensor 12 is provided in the vicinity of a CCD 11, when a measured temperature exceeds a predetermined setting temperature at application or after application of power, a discrimination section 38 transmits an execution signal to a defective pixel detection section 39. The defective pixel detection section 39 detects a defective pixel in response to the reception of the execution signal, and records a result of the detection to an EEPROM 34. After the result of detection of a defective pixel, the imaging apparatus reaches a photographing standby state, and the imaging apparatus corrects and records image data obtained from the CCD on the basis of the defective pixel data recorded in the EEPROM 34 in photographing. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
