<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a traveling control device for vehicle, capable of ensuring a inter-vehicle distance sufficient for a driver to recognize/determine a traveling state and perform an operation such as deviation avoidance when the driver's consciousness is recovered after being deviated from driving. <P>SOLUTION: The traveling control device for vehicle including a controller 10 keeping an inter-vehicle distance from a preceding vehicle at a target inter-vehicle distance comprises a deviating tendency determination means determining the deviating tendency from a traveling road of an own vehicle.
