<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To detect abnormality in a relay provided on each group in simple constitution in an electronic control device for a vehicle composed of a plurality of ECU parted to a plurality of groups. <P>SOLUTION: The plurality of electronic control units (ECU) 1A-1C and 2A-2C are parted to a plurality of ECU groups 10A and 10B. Relays RL1 and RL2 are provided for the respective ECU groups, and in each group, each relay is connected between each ECU and a power source 30. Each ECU is connected to a communication network 60. When power is charged, a flag to indicate that it is capable of communicating is outputted unless abnormality occurs in communication functions. A relay abnormality detecting part 70 detects abnormality in the relay RL1 and the RL2 when information for states of communication does not coincide with each other between the ECU groups based on information of communication states for each ECU indicating if it is capable of communicating or not. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT</p> |
