PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To supply a lubricant agent to a specific portion between a guide shaft 140 and a bearing section 152 of a carriage 150. SOLUTION: This liquid jet device comprises the guide shaft 140 including a guide section 142 having a circular cross section having a constant dimension with respect to the cross section perpendicular to the axis direction, the bearing section 152 slidably mounted on the guide section 142, the carriage 150 for reciprocally moving along the guide section 142, and a recording head 156 that ejects a liquid toward recording paper 120 by being conveyed by the carriage 150. The bearing section 152 has a sliding face 210 opposite to the surface of the guide section 142 and a rising face 220 formed to be separated from the surface of the guide section 142 rather than the sliding face 210 and adjacent to the sliding face 210.
