PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a photographing system by which physical objects can be photographed sensitively, stably and over an extended time period even if a worker is absent at a job site when the physical objects are inspected and researched in hazardous and poor working conditions for the worker. SOLUTION: The photographing system includes an image-taking unit 101 which is equipped with an image-taking device 1 airtightly sealed inside a heat insulating container 9 and is hung inside a chimney, a display unit 102 equipped with a display device 54, and a control unit 103 for transmitting, to the display device 54, video pictures produced by taking images of the physical objects using the image-taking device 1 to perform visual display as well as controlling photographing directions of the image-taking device 1 by remote control.
