PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a main rope post system and a main rope stretching method for carrying out substantially all the processes of stretching a main rope of an uppermost layer work floor on an existing work floor. SOLUTION: The main rope post system is composed of a main rope post 20 having a main rope anchoring means 50 at the top, and the main rope 60 that can be anchored to the main rope anchoring means. The main rope post has an upper holder 40 and a lower holder 30 for holding a standard in a freely rotatable manner or releasing it.
