PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a safe and economic grasping device capable of preventing a fall of a grasped material without throwing an operation lever into a closing position by preventing decrease of the holding pressure of an opening/closing cylinder in the condition wherein the grasping device holds a material to be grasped. SOLUTION: A base end side shaft through hole 33 of the opening/closing cylinder 30 is formed into an oblong hole, and a cylinder support bracket 40 is provided with a disc spring 50 (an energizing means) for energizing the opening/closing cylinder 30 in a direction for closing opening/closing arms 20 and 21.
