PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve such a problem that when a positional deviation of the leading edge of a substrate having a camber from the tailing edge thereof occurs in the conveying direction of the substrate and the substrate is conveyed and coated in this state, the leading edge of a pattern formed on the substrate is deviated from the tailing edge thereof in the conveying direction of the substrate. SOLUTION: When how much the substrate is cambered is known beforehand, the value is inputted or the camber is measured by a sensor and inputted. A positioning mechanism for positioning the leading and tailing edges of the substrate in the conveying direction of the substrate is arranged in the coating applicator in order to keep constant the position of the substrate having the camber in the direction horizontally perpendicular to the conveying direction of the substrate. A driving mechanism for separately moving head units of various colors to the direction horizontally perpendicular to the conveying direction of the substrate according to the inputted camber value to apply ink to the substrate and a control part for controlling the positioning mechanism and the driving mechanism are arranged in the coating applicator.
