PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize a magnetic resonance imaging apparatus which is effective for imaging methods other than the EPI method and can reduce noises associated with the vibration of an inclined magnetic field coil without affecting fast imaging. SOLUTION: In the sequence wherein current pulses cyclically applied to the inclined magnetic field coil 13 exist, current values×application time in the waveforms of the current pulses adjacent to each other is fixed but the current values are given values different from those of the application time. The application time is varied within a range affecting none of TE and TR. This can lower the peak of the spectrum of the applied currents to the inclined magnetic field coil 13, thereby causing a drop in the noise levels. COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT
