PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an L-lactic acid-producing microorganism capable of producing the L-lactic acid with higher productivity than ever and further with high optical purity in a method, etc., for producing a lactic acid solution by which decomposition of an active ingredient and formation of a fermentation-inhibitory substance in a raw material culture medium are avoided, while problems of the decomposition and the formation are conventionally caused in case of using a raw material not subjected to heat sterilization as the culture medium, and simultaneously highly centralized control of fermentation and sterilization facilities are made to be unnecessary, and to provide the method for producing the L-lactic acid solution, using the same. SOLUTION: This thermophilic L-lactic acid-producing microorganism comprises a heat-resistant microorganism of Bacillus licheniformis TY7 which is newly isolated and identified. The method for producing the L-lactic acid solution comprises using the Bacillus licheniformis TY7 and fermenting a biomass raw material highly containing glucide and another nutrient component as the culture medium directly, without conducting the sterilization, at 50-60°C and pH 5.8 to 6.5.
