METHOD FOR PRODUCING CARBOHYDRATE PARTIAL ESTERS

The invention relates to a solvent-free method for producing carbohydrate partial esters with an average degree of esterification of between 1 and 4, by alkaline catalysed interesterification in the presence of a catalyst mixture consisting of alkaline carbonate and alkaline hypophosphite. The invention also relates to the use of the carbohydrate partial esters that have been obtained in this manner and to special moulded bodies based on said esters.
