A vane assembly (301) is slidably installed in a vane groove (205a) of a first cylinder (205) and in a vane groove (206a) of a second cylinder (206). A cutout (301a) with the width substantially equal to the thickness of an intermediate plate (304) is formed in the vane (301), and the cutout (301a) divides the vane (301) into both a first vane (301b) whose tip side is in contact with a first piston (209) and a second vane (301c) in contact with a second piston (210). Even when push-out force caused by a pressure difference to the first piston (209) side does not act on the first vane (301b), the first vane (301b) is pushed to the first piston (209) side by a pressure difference acting on the second vane (301c), and as a result the first vane (301b) and the first piston (209) are kept in contact with each other.
