<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electronic anti-theft system for vehicle capable of realizing the fail-safe with a simple configuration. <P>SOLUTION: A steering lock device 31 comprises a lock bar to be attached/detached to/from a steering shaft, a motor 33 to operate the lock bar, a steering-locking microcomputer 41 to control the drive of the motor 33, and a drive limit unit 43 to control the acceptance/rejection of the power supply to the motor 33. A bus 20 used for the communication between control units 14-18 is connected to an input terminal of an AND circuit 48 of the drive limit unit 43, and the drive limit unit 43 controls the acceptance/rejection of power supply to an actuator to the motor 33 based on the motor drive prohibition signal input from the power supply control unit 15 via the bus 20.
