PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an imaging apparatus, an image processing method, and a program capable of simply obtaining a panning image wherein a motion of a mobile is enhanced without the need for suitably matching a camera with the motion of the mobile and photographing the object. SOLUTION: When the mobile body is photographed as a main object, a control section 32 of the imaging apparatus is provided with: a means for particularizing a main object part in image data obtained from a CCD 23 in a prescribed timing; and a means for applying image processing for the purpose of enhancing the motion of the mobile to at least either of the particularized main object part and the other part in the image data. Thus, the imaging apparatus can simply obtain the panning image wherein the motion of the mobile is enhanced without the need for suitably matching the camera with the motion of the mobile and photographing the object.
