The invention relates inter alia to a method for producing a fiber web from a fibrous suspension. Said method is characterized by measuring at least one property of the fibrous suspension and carrying out, based on said measurement, at least one appropriate step for adjusting the machine for producing the fiber web, thereby maintaining at least one defined property of the fiber web at a desired value and/or maintaining the productivity of the machine for producing the fiber web at a desired value.
