<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device and method for detecting an image region and an image-region detecting program, which easily detect the region by simply separating a specific color and specifying a mark. <P>SOLUTION: A correction-quantity computer 131 computes a value added to B for removing the information of colors excepting a yellow from a B plane by reading the values of R and G from an image-data storage 120, 255-min (R, G). A corrector 132 computes B'=B+(255-min (R, G)) by correcting the value of B.
