<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a delivery container which can prevent unauthorized access to delivery baggage, and is openable/closable at almost any location with few restrictions imposed thereon, and to provide a delivery system using the delivery container. <P>SOLUTION: The delivery container has an electric lock 31 for preventing opening/closing of the delivery container; a radio communication section 41 and a short-range communication section 47 for receiving locking/unlocking information for locking/unlocking the electric lock 31; and a control section 42 for locking/unlocking the electric lock 31 depending on the locking/unlocking information received by the radio communication section 41 or the short-range communication section 47.
