PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a waste toner recovering device which is capable of surely preventing waste toner from overflowing when recovering the waste toner into a waste toner storage vessel. SOLUTION: A copying machine 1 provided with the waste toner recovering device has such configuration that; waste toner 52 is discharged from a discharge port 29h by a first spiral 29i and a second spiral 29j; and when a full detection sensor 21 detects that a waste toner storage vessel 31 is full, a solenoid 46 is turned on to disconnect transmission of a driving force from a motor 20 to the first spiral 29i and the second spiral 29j and a shutter 33 are driven.
