发明名称 METHOD FOR PRODUCING FERROELECTRIC PEROVSKITE-TYPE BARIUM TITANATE SINGLE CRYSTAL
摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing a ferroelectric perovskite-type barium titanate single crystal, by which the ferroelectric perovskite-type barium titanate single crystal having high purity and non reciprocal function of light is produced by a simple process. SOLUTION: In the method for producing the ferroelectric perovskite-type barium titanate single crystal, a trivalent rare earth element of erbium (Er), thulium (Tm), ytterbium (Yb) or ruthenium (Ru) is added to titanium site. The results of examination made as one example on the emission spectrum from a perovskite-type barium titanate single crystal: [(Ba, Sr)TiO<SB>3</SB>Er<SP>3+</SP>], wherein erbium (Er) being one rare earth element has been added in an amount of 0.1%, show that the spectrum is emission spectrum of trivalent erbium and is substituted for Ti site, there is no light emission from other impurity, and the obtained single crystal has high purity.
