PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for driving a light emitting element using fused salt as an electrolyte with high intensity. SOLUTION: This is a method for driving the light emitting element provided with at least a pair of electrodes electrically insulated and arranged and the electrolyte contacting the pair of electrodes and containing light emitting dye and the fused salt having a structure expressed by a general formula (A).
