PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To minimize the number of visual inspections by optimizing the number of misreports; to dispense with readjustment after receiving feedback from a visual inspection result; and to readjust quickly inspection data. SOLUTION: This device is equipped with a misreport rate calculation means 31 for calculating the misreport rate which is a ratio of non-defective articles wrongly determined to be defective articles by an automatic visual inspection machine 1, and an alarm component determination means 33 for issuing a warning of an improper inspection component. The misreport rate calculation means 31 calculates the misreport rate in some monitoring period, and the alarm component determination means 33 issues a warning of improper inspection data when the calculated misreport rate in some monitoring period is larger than an estimated misreport rate determined beforehand.
