PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a thresher making an inexpensive waterproof type power switch unnecessary and capable of finely carrying out opening and closing of the upper part of a threshing chamber by only operating a raising switch and a lowering switch by an operator when required, in connection with the suitable thresher carried on a combine harvester, opening and closing the upper part of the threshing chamber with power by manually operating the raising switch and the lowering switch. SOLUTION: An upper frame body 19 for supporting a large-sized threshing cylinder 17 for carrying out threshing while rotating is rotatable to the upper part by using a rotation fulcrum shaft 22 as a center. When an actuator 33 in which one end is fixed to a main structure 13 is operated to a contract direction, a driving arm 23 fixed to the upper frame body 19 is pulled out by the actuator 33 to raise the upper frame body 19. The raising switch and the lowering switch are arranged on the sides and when at least either one of the raising switch and the lowering switch is operated, an electric source is connected to a microcomputer apparatus for controlling the actuator 33 to enable raising and lowering operation of the upper frame body 19 using the raising switch and the lowering switch.
