<p>A signal separating apparatus capable of swiftly separating, with reliability, output signals, which are outputted from different positions of a two-dimensional plane or a three-dimensional space, by use of simple processes and apparatus structure. A superimposed signal, in which output signals outputted from output sources (201,202) of different positions are superimposed on each other, is detected as an instantaneous mixture sum of the time inclinations related to the output signals. The output signals are separated based on the instantaneous mixture sum of the time inclinations. Thus, the detected signal can be detected not as scalar amount (sound pressure) but as vector amount (sound pressure inclination). It is, therefore, possible to swiftly separate, with reliability, output signals as well as the directions of the output sources by use of simple processes and apparatus structure.</p> |
