The method for determining the deflection of a shell from its target due to the Coriolis Effect comprises measuring the movement of the target (due to the earth's rotation) during the flight of the shell, the rotation of the vector of the acceleration due to gravity on the shell and the drag of the atmosphere on it. The Coriolis Effect reduces the deflection caused by the first effect and can be calculated from the data obtained.
|
