A droplet discharge method, an electro optical device and an electronic apparatus are provided to prevent positions of line ununiformity of a functional liquid discharged from each discharge head from overlapping each other by making each position of nozzles installed on both ends of the discharge head cross each other. A droplet discharge method includes the steps of: discharging a droplet of a functional liquid on a discharged matter receipt unit(18) installed on a substrate from a plurality of nozzles(118) installed on a plurality of discharge heads while the plurality of discharge heads relatively scans the substrate. A dimension of discharge region formed by the plurality of nozzles in a perpendicular direction to the scanning direction is larger than a dimension of the discharged matter receipt unit in the same direction. The droplet of the liquid is discharged on the discharged matter receipt unit from the plurality of nozzles in a case of the whole of the discharged matter receipt unit to be included in the discharge region and is not discharged on the discharged matter receipt unit in a case of at least a portion of the discharged matter receipt unit not to be included in the discharge region of the plurality of nozzles.
