A computer tomographic apparatus is provided to obtain a high quality tomography for a long time regardless of the variation of surrounding temperature, with simplified structure of a cooling apparatus. A computer tomographic apparatus comprises a detection unit(7) for detecting radioactive rays transmitting through a subject. A collimator(6) limits an incident radioactive ray to the detection unit. A separation air gap(26) separating the collimator from the detection unit thermal-conductively is formed between a cross end in the detection unit side of the collimator and a cross end in the collimator side of the detection unit, and the separation air gap is sealed.
