A light emitting display device and a driving method thereof are provided to normally display an image even if a display panel is turned by 180 degrees. A light emitting display device includes plural scan lines(S1~S6) transmitting selection signals, respectively; a bi-directional shift register(210) outputting plural shift signals in order with shifting a first signal in a first direction correspondingly to a first period in response to a first control signal and outputting plural shift signals in order with shifting the first signal in a second direction correspondingly to the first period in response to a second control signal; a first driving unit generating the selection signals of the odd scan lines by carrying out a logic operation for two of plural shift signals and a first sub clock signal(SCLK1); and a second driving unit generating the selection signals of the even scan lines by carrying out a logic operation for two signals and a second sub clock signal(SCLK2) shifted from the first sub clock signal as long as a second period.
