Mail delivery box

A mail delivery box comprises an enclosure 50 and a flap portion 20 which permits partial uncovering of an opening. The flap portion defines a reception space communicative with the enclosure. The flap may be pivotally mounted. The flap preferably includes a baffle which has an open back arrangement (region R). This allows larger parcels to be received in the space defined by the baffle than would be possible if the back of the baffle were closed. The region R is available to receive parcels when the flap portion is positioned to allow a parcel to be securely delivered into the box. The baffle may comprise a plate supported on both sides by side portions which support a corresponding lid. The side portions and front of the plate may extend parallel to the end of the plate.
