<p>Method for inhibiting tumor cell formation or tumor cell growth, the method comprising administering to a patient in need thereof an antagonist to VEGF-B. Preferably, the antagonist is an anti-VEGF-B antibody, an antisense molecule, an RNAi molecule, a molecule for forming a triplex nucleic acid molecule with a VEGF-B encoding polynucleotide.
