An external preparation comprising following ingredients (A) and (B) :
(A) a compound represented by the following general formula (1)
wherein R 1 represents an organic residue having a cyclic structure that may have a substituent; R 2 represents a hydrogen atom or a lower alkyl group; and X represents an ethylene group or an ethenylene group
or a salt thereof, and
(B) a monoterpene. The external preparation of the present invention is excellent in percutaneous absorbability.
