A vehicle seat belt apparatus is provided to prevent damage of a D-ring and allow an air belt assembly to operate at a normal position, by reducing loading concentrated to the D-ring upon occurrence of vehicle crash. A vehicle seat belt apparatus comprises a webbing(10), a D-ring(20), a height adjuster(30), a retractor(40), and an air belt assembly(70). The web covers a passenger and keeps the passenger on a vehicle seat. The D-ring has a surface on which one end of the webbing is fixed. The height adjuster has a surface on which the D-ring is mounted. The height adjuster is fixed at a vehicle body so as to guide the direction of the movement of the D-ring. The retractor has a surface on which the other end of the webbing is fixed. The retractor is arranged to retract the webbing so that the passenger is kept on the vehicle seat by the webbing. The air belt assembly moves the D-ring along the height adjuster by generating high pressure gas in accordance with the control of an electronic control, and supplies high pressure gas to a cushion(76) mounted on the webbing so as to inflate the cushion and protect the passenger from impact upon occurrence of vehicle crash.
