A plasma display device and a driving method thereof are provided to drive a plasma display panel with one board by supplying the voltage applied to X electrodes to a scan driving board during an address period and a falling period of a reset period. A method for driving one frame according to plural subfields in a plasma display device comprising plural first electrodes(X), plural second electrodes(Y), and plural third electrodes(A) crossing the first and second electrodes includes steps of: applying a second voltage to the second electrode of a discharge cell to be turned on and a third voltage to the second electrode of a discharge cell not to be turned on, while applying a first voltage to the first electrode, during an address period and alternately applying a fifth voltage higher than a fourth voltage and a sixth voltage lower than the fourth voltage to the second electrode, while applying the fourth voltage lower than the first voltage to the first electrode, during a sustain period. The first electrodes float during a second period of the address period.
