A foam sensor for a drum type washing machine and the drum type washing machine having the same are provided to swiftly sense burbles and restrict over-foaming by mounting plural foam sensors at different places. A foam sensor comprises: a temperature sensor unit(70) for sensing the temperature of water flowed in a tub; a connector(80) connected to the temperature sensor unit; and a foam electrode terminal(81) integrally formed with the connector to sense foam generated in the tub. The temperature sensor unit comprises: a thermistor(71) for sensing the temperature of water; a temperature electrode terminal(72) connected to the thermistor and inserted in the connector; and a temperature sensor housing(75) surrounding the thermistor. The foam electrode terminal is more than two. The connector comprises a receptacle(82) formed with plural foam electrode terminals and a terminal groove unit(82a) where the temperature electrode terminal is inserted; and a plug(83) combined to the rear side of the receptacle to supply the electricity with the form and temperature electrode terminals.
