PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lithium manganese oxide suitable for a cathode activation substance of a lithium ion secondary battery having a large service capacity and excellent electric charging and discharging cycle characteristics and the high performance lithium ion secondary battery using it. SOLUTION: The lithium manganese oxide having a uniform shape is obtained by heat-treating of porous manganese oxide in a fused slat containing lithium or by stabilizing a crystal structure after the heat-treating, and it is used for the cathode activation substance of the lithium ion secondary battery. |
