A rotor for an outer rotor type motor and a method for manufacturing the same are provided to reduce a working time by attaching the molded rotor core piece molding body to a side wall of a rotor frame. A rotor for an outer rotor type motor includes a rotor frame(10), rotor core(20), and a magnet. The rotor frame(10) has a cup shape. The circular rotor frame(10) is attached to a side wall of the rotor frame(10). The magnet is arranged and fixed on the rotor core(20) at a regular distance. The rotor core(20) is divided into a plurality of rotor core piece molding bodies coupled to the side wall of the rotor frame(10). The magnet is inserted into a magnet insertion hole which is formed on a rotor core piece formed by laminating an iron plate. The rotor core piece and the magnet are molded to be integrated by ejecting resin through a gap between the magnet and the magnet insertion hole.
