A digital broadcasting terminal having a digital broadcasting content conversion function and a method thereof are provided to separate an audio signal from recorded multimedia contents, recognize a voice from the separated audio signal, and then convert the voice into a text so as to be displayed on a display unit of a terminal. A specific section of multimedia contents stored in a memory is selected(S100). An A/V separating module separates the selected specific section into a video signal and an audio signal(S110). A user selects audio data to be synthesized with the separated video signal through a key input unit(S120). A specific section of the selected audio data is selected(S130). An A/V synthesizing module synthesizes the separated video signal with the specific section of the selected audio data(S140). A voice recognition module extracts a voice signal from the separated audio signal and converts the extracted voice signal into a text(S150,S160). A synchronizing module synchronizes the synthesized data with the converted data, and outputs the synchronized data to the outside of a terminal, and stores the synchronized data(S170,S180). |
