A food container cover having a hinge type lock is provided to easily wash, hygienically use the container, and increase the endurance of the hinge by making the inside of the cover of a synthetic resin material using a metallic material. The food container cover having a hinge type lock comprises: a reinforcing core(10) with a hinge piece(11), as a steel sheet having the elastic restoring force and the endurance of which are greater than those of a synthetic resin material; a main plate(12), closely pressed against the underside of the cover body, wherein the hinge piece(11) is passed through an upper part of a packing seat(21); and a lock(30), which is made out of a synthetic resin material and into which an outside end(11b) except a hinge part(11a) is embedded and fastened.
