An organic light emitting display device and a manufacturing method thereof are provided to simply manufacture a protection layer by forming the protection layer at a lateral face of cells after laminating the plurality of cells. In an organic light emitting display device, a display unit(30) is formed on a top of a substrate(10) to embody an image. A sealing unit(20) seals the display unit(30) by being connected to face the substrate(10). A sealant(50) connects the substrate(10) and the sealing unit(20) by being placed between the substrate(10) and the sealing unit(20). A protection layer(60) includes an inorganic insulation substance and is formed at a lateral face of the sealant(50). The protection layer(60) is designated to be formed only at the lateral face of the substrate(10) and the sealing unit(20). |
