A system for diagnosing/monitoring a base station modem and a terminal modem and a method thereof are provided to analyze DM data in accordance with mutual interworking between the base station modem and the terminal modem, thereby providing the DM data to a user or a manager by efficiently analyzing an error cause generated during an interworking test between the base station modem and the terminal modem. A system for diagnosing and monitoring a base station modem and a terminal modem comprises the followings: a base station modem signal receiving unit(270) which converts a signal, received from the base station modem(100), into the first signal; a terminal modem signal receiving unit(280) which converts a signal, received from the terminal modem(120), into the second signal; a base station DM(Diagnostic Monitor) data collecting unit(230) which generates the first data packet on the basis of the first signal transmitted from the base station modem signal receiving unit(270); a terminal DM data collecting unit(240) which generates the second data packet on the basis of the second signal transmitted from the terminal modem signal receiving unit(280); and a DM control module(220) which controls the base station DM data receiving unit(270) and the terminal DM data receiving unit(280), receives the first data packet and the second data packet, and transmits the packets to a management device(300).
